Description

The Lares Tour 4 days and 3 nights is a trek that tests your physical ability, but most definitely leaves you amazed at the natural beauty that the Andes has to offer. It may not be as popular as the Inca Trail or Salkantay trek, but adventure-seeking travellers who wish to embark on a different path and witness the incredible sights that the Peruvian Andes has to offer then this trek is ideal. Traversing through some incredible places throughout your journey, you will be able to learn a lot about the different cultures as well as discover new locations that you may not have had the pleasure of visiting if you did not embark on the Lares Tour 4 days 3 nights. On your initial day we will visit Calca as well as Huamanmarca and enjoy breakfast accompanied by beautiful views of the Andes mountain range. The second day will consist of passing through two lagoons, and witnessing fascinating waterfalls and llamas as well as alpacas. For the third day we will ascend to the viewpoint of Yanahuara, where we will be able to capture an incredible view of the sacred valley.   • DAY 1: CUSCO-LARES-HUACA WASI

With pick up being from your hotel at 6 in the morning to start the incredible journey of Lares tour 4 days 3 nights. We will pass Calca and then we can visit Huamanmarca, a small pre-Inca citadel where we can observe an Inca temple and streets. 

Then we will continue to the Lares Valley where you will have your first breakfast that will be accompanied by beautiful views of the Andes mountain range. Then, you can enjoy a visit to the thermal baths in the area, which are made up of a number of pools, you can choose if you want to get into the hot or cold pools that are composed of water that is purely volcanic, This place says that it is good to relax from stress, for the health of your bones, the muscles also like the headache. Then we will have lunch and also meet our muleteers and horses so they can carry our backpacks. 

Continuing with the excursion, we will begin our 3-hour hike, and the guide will explain to us about textile, livestock, agriculture, also about the cultivation of many varieties of organic potatoes and medicinal plants. 

During this walk we will be able to see many alpacas, vicuñas and the most impressive thing about the trip will be of the “decorations of the Andean houses”. Then we will arrive at the Huaca Wasi camp (3770 m.s.n.m), our guide accompanies us until we reach the town where we will visit some local homes, where you can see and learn about the lifestyle of the ancient traditions of the local people who live there. If there is time, we will visit a school, where the children still speak their native Quechua language. If you wish, you can bring gifts in the form of toys, notebooks or other school things that will help them. You can even teach them some English words. At the end of the day we will enjoy our dinner, which our trekking chef will take care of and we will go to our huts or tents to rest.

  • DAY 2: HUACA WASI-HUACA PUNKU-MANTANAY-YANAHUARA

Waking up at approximately 6 in the morning, we will drink our coca tea. After our breakfast we will continue on our Lares Tour 4 days 3 nights for about 3 hours until we reach Huacarpunku. Arriving in Huacarpunku we can observe a waterfall with incredible views. In this beautiful place you can see lakes, as well as waterfalls, llamas and alpacas. We will have an emergency horse to ride in case of emergency or if you get very tired. In our descent we will arrive at the place where we will enjoy our lunch, but before reaching the point where we will have lunch we will pass through two lagoons. The first lagoon called Auro Q’ocha where we can see birds unique to the area and the second lagoon, Yurac Q’ocha (3600 m.s.n.m). If you are lucky you can see the llamas grazing nearby. When you have finished your lunch, you will descend through a forest of Q’ueñas with beautiful views of the valley and the houses that are composed of an original construction, made of stone with thatched roofs. Soon you will arrive in Yanahuara (3400 m.s.n.m) where our tents or shops await us.

  • DAY 3: YANAHUARA-MIRADOR DE YANAHUARA-OLLANTAYTAMBO

Waking up at approximately 7 in the morning to continue our Lares tour 4 days 3 nights, we will have breakfast and start our walk of the day below, along this path, we will see how they prepare the girl. If you wish you can taste the taste of the girl of this region, while you go through fruit trees, and you will begin to feel the change of micro-climate to see the crops that are different in the high mountains. The people of the valley, grow on their farms corn, quinoa, kiwi, peaches, avocados also as a variety of more fruits. Ascending makes the viewpoint of Yanahuara, we can see the wonderful view of the sacred valley. Continuing on the road to Lares Tour 4 days 3 nights, we will descend to reach our lunch spot where we will enjoy a nice plate of food served by our mountain chef and say goodbye as we board the bus that will take us to Ollantaytambo to then take the train at 12:58 pm, towards Aguas Calientes that will take two hours to arrive.

  • DIA 4: MACHU PICCHU-OLLANTAYTAMBO-CUSCO

The last day on our Lares tour 4 days 3 nights has arrived. The day when you will visit the Wonder of the World, Machu Picchu. Waking up early, we will go on the way to reach the Citadel of Machu Picchu. We will take one of the first buses that leave at 5:30 in the morning, and our guide explains to us for a time of two hours before we offer the book so you can explore the Inca citadel and take photos of the beautiful place. Returning to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, which will last other hours and then board the bus to return to your hotel in Cusco and that concludes our tour of Lares 4 days 3 nights.
